    Creamy Watermelon Smoothie

We love this smoothie that fuses the Mediterranean and the tropical. Nature was wise to leave us these ingredients in the areas of the planet where the heat hits hardest.

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups of chopped seedless watermelon, plus some watermelon pieces for decoration.
    • 1 small banana.
    • ¾ cup of fresh strawberries, peeled and halved.
    • ½ cup of unsweetened coconut milk yogurt (if you can't find unsweetened, don't add the agave syrup or honey).
    • 2 teaspoons of agave syrup or honey.
    • ⅛ teaspoon of salt.

      Preparation

      1. Place the chopped watermelon evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Leave in the freezer until completely frozen, at least 2 hours or up to 12 hours.
      2. Cut the banana in half crosswise; peel one half of the banana and reserve the other in its peel.
      3. Put the frozen watermelon, peeled half banana, strawberries, yogurt, agave or honey, and salt in a blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, about 1 minute, stopping to scrape the sides as needed.
      4. Divide into 2 glasses and garnish with watermelon pieces.

We chose this smoothie because watermelon is very useful if you sunbathe. Its content in beta-carotenes and vitamin C helps your skin tan and, together with coconut and banana, it is an excellent remineralizer.

      Summer melon smoothie

You can make it with different types of melon: Galia, Cantaloupe, Piel de Sapo... with whichever you like the most, it will be fine!

      smoothie_melon_mellerware

      Ingredients

      • 1 slice of Hami or Cantaloupe melon.
      • 1 slice of Galia melon.
      • 1 Greek yogurt (vanilla or plain).
      • 1 or 2 frozen bananas.
      • 2 measures of yogurt cup of milk.
      • Lime juice.

      Preparation

      1. A few hours before making the smoothie, put the peeled and chopped banana in the freezer. To prevent the slices from sticking together, place them on a tray lined with baking paper.
      2. Once the banana is frozen, cut the melon into cubes and put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
      3. Make the necessary adjustments if you want it thicker or thinner.

We recommend having this smoothie after sunbathing. Melon is a natural aftersun : its high collagen content repairs the skin, combined with the antioxidant power of its A and C vitamins. Thanks to the bananas, it is an ideal drink to remineralize when you sweat a lot. Dairy enriches it with protein, while the yogurt contains probiotics that prevent the sun and heat from weakening your immune system.

      Picota cherry smoothie

Beat the heat with lots of flavor! Picota cherries are the tastiest and most recommended to make your smoothie excellent.

      smoothie_cereza_mellerware

      Ingredients

      • 1 cup of pitted Picota cherries, fresh or frozen.
      • 2 peach or cherry yogurts.
      • 1 fresh peach sliced, or frozen.
      • ½ cup of spinach, fresh or frozen (optional).
      • ¼ to ½ cup of plant-based or cow's milk.

        Preparation

        1. Chop the ingredients.
        2. Mix in the blender until obtaining a smooth shake.
        3. You can decorate with a bit of cinnamon, its flavor is great for this shake!

It's perfect to have in the afternoon, as cherries contain melatonin, which helps you relax for better sleep at night. Additionally, it's filling, helps you recover after exercise, reduces muscle pain, and prevents the effects of the sun on your skin due to its antioxidant components.

        Smoothie of blackberries and oats

This smoothie has a bit more consistency, thanks to the oats. Ideal for going to the gym!

        smoothie_mora_mellerware

        Ingredients

        • 2 cups of soft oat flakes or oat flour.
        • 1 cup of milk.
        • 3/4 cup of blackberries (you can add about 2 strawberries).
        • 1/3 cup of vanilla yogurt.
        • 1/4 cup of ice.
        • 2 tablespoons of honey.

        Preparation

        1. Add all the ingredients to the blender and mix.
        2. You can add the ice at the end, just to crush it gently. Ready to drink!

This shake is perfect if you have little time to prepare it, as oats are rich in B vitamins and proteins, perfect for physical and mental stress. And blackberries have those antioxidants so necessary to avoid the negative effects of ultraviolet rays.

To make the most of the qualities of these shakes, we recommend using a blender with a nutrient extractor blade like the one from Mellerware. You'll make your summer smoothie even richer and more nutritious!
